Crypto Security

Protect your crypto before something goes wrong.

Plain-language safety guidance for people using exchanges, wallets, and on-chain apps. No recovery fees, no wallet-connect prompts, no panic trading.

AltCurrencyHelp will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, exchange password, recovery code, or remote access.

Think something is wrong?

Pause before you click, sign, send, or install anything.

Unexpected support messages, urgent recovery offers, and unfamiliar approval requests are common scam patterns. Use a verified bookmark or the provider’s official app—not a link sent in a DM.

Build safer habits

The security basics

These habits prevent a large share of ordinary crypto losses. They are boring in the good way: repeatable, calm, and useful.

A calm response card

If you think you may be compromised

  1. Stop interacting with the suspicious message, site, or app. Do not connect a wallet, sign a request, install a “fix,” or send a test transaction.
  2. Use only a known-good path. Open the provider from a saved bookmark or type its address yourself; check its official status page or support channel.
  3. Secure the account or device you control. Change passwords from a trusted device, enable two-factor authentication where available, and review recent account activity.
  4. Do not trust recovery DMs. Real providers do not need your seed phrase or private key to help you.

This page provides general education, not financial, legal, or incident-response advice. If an exchange account or device may be compromised, follow that provider’s verified guidance.

What we will not do

Offer recovery services, request secrets, promote token claims, or turn an incident into trading hype.
